WANDERERS GENERAL MEETING
January 25th, 2003
Country Choice Restaurant
Rose Fleming, Secretary Reporting

ATTENDING: Rod & Rose Fleming; Greg & Seanna Huber; Bill & Debbie Ball; Tom & Bonnie Cassidy; Rebecca Hall; P.A. Davis; Kent Saxton; Joe Durham; Aaron Adkison; Scott Holecek; Sean & Tina Brooks; Kevin Gayken; Al Sessler; Bill Edwards; Fabian Gil; Ron Growel; John Q. Lawrence; new members, Bill & Sparrow Daenitz and Jeremiah Culp; guests, John & Ursula Hartman.

Rod Fleming called meeting to order at 10:03 AM.

MINUTES: It was moved and seconded that the minutes be approved a posted on the web site.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Gary Steinweg’s proxy reported that we had $561.59 available with a set-aside of $247.00 for the Toy Run 2002. This set-aside will be added back into the general fund, making a total of $808.59 available. (Gary’s effigy was then placed upside down in the sugar bowl) Treasurers Report was approved as amended. Note: On reading the minutes as posted Gary has asked for a correction. It seems the wrong months treasurers report was submitted and the club really has a balance of $529.19 . There was a misunderstanding whether the Toy Run set aside was back in the treasury or had been donated to the run. It had been donated. End of correction.

NEW BUSINESS: Kent Saxton has attained the goal of 3,000 club miles, and was awarded a gold pin. Congratulations, Kent! Once again, the subject of the LISTSERVE was brought up with a reminder to all that posting pictures, in particular, takes too long for those members who are on dial-up connection to download. Please hold the chatter down, and if there are pictures members would like to share, put them in a folder with a link or send them to the forum. For easier response, members are reminded to post their e-mail addresses in the message somewhere.

Elections for new officers will be held in April. Nominations for the various positions can be submitted to the web site. There will be formal nominating process at the next meeting. It was suggested that two new positions be added: (1) Membership Chairperson and (2) Ride Coordinator. Some details need to be worked out, (i.e. should the positions be elected or appointed, and should these positions have voting rights.) An officers meeting will be held before the next meeting. Al Sessler moved that these positions be created, Doc seconded, and the motion carried.
