TREASURER’S REPORT: Tom reports current balance is $741.00. He said that $100 has been set aside for server costs to be paid to Michael Wheeley.  A donation of $75 in memory of Kent Saxton has been made by his daughter’s company. Doc motioned that treasurer’s report be accepted as read. Carole H. seconded.
OLD BUSINESS:. John Del Santo outlined today’s Xmas in July ride to St. Vincent DePaul’s Tom Warren bought $200 worth of toys from the Wanderers club contibution. His time and efforts are greatly appreciated. Gary Steinweg donated $50 to the cause.
NEW BUSINESS:  John led a discussion on ABS systems and how the new cables are quicker than our riders are used to. The computer system seems to get confused if the bike is tipped over when the ABS is employed…if you hit a small rock that seems to stop the wheel the ABS will think the bike has stopped, and it could dump. Doc added his feelings that ABS are dangerous for motorcycles, and refers to the mixed reviews on them.
Rod led a discussion of the Wanderer’s Ride Leader Program. A committee met some time ago and outlined our program of class information, parking lot practice completion, and leading a ride with ride coordinator following to certify the ride leader’s pin.  Doc re-viewed those protocols, and will complete the process of writing them up. Procedures to list a club certified ride are to: propose the ride at a meeting to determine interest; propose the route to Doc (ride coordinator); have ride recommended to executive board by Doc, and Board will verify its posting by webmaster (Greg.)if accepted.  Board will accept proposed ride based on: ride leader certification, safety of route, whether or not it is a ride that represents the type of ride the Wanderers do, and time constraints. Rod reminded that, as always, impromptu rides are always encouraged. Impromptu rides do not require board approval, as they are not posted on open website, so club does not have to worry about liabilities of unknown riders who join the impromptu rides.
Rebecca Holocek has her gold ride leader’s pin, and has proposed a ride for the September Campout.

1.      John Del Santo would like to propose a Sea to Summit Ride on October 9th.
2.      Tom Warren proposes an Engineers Road and Pie Run for July 19th..leaving from Edward’sTheater at 10:00AM.
