Bill Edwards And His Beemer

Riding since 1998, single and retired early...life is great!

I got the bike bug all of a sudden in 1998, shortly after my 50th birthday. I ridden years ago in the late sixties, but decided it was best to take the MSF basic rider course before doing any riding. I'd already purchased a bike, a '96 Suzuki Savage. After about 6 months on that bike, I traded it in on a new '99 V-Star Classic. January 15, 2000, I traded that in on my current ride, "Das Kruiser", a BMW R1200C. I like cruiser style bikes, but I really almost went for the BMW R1100R. That is an all around motorcycle, and very wonderful to ride. I also own a '78 Honda CB400A which I commute to work on. I like it too. Guess I just like bikes. Wish I still had the Suzi and theYamahawg.

The Wanderer's are a great group of people, and the best to ride with. I started riding with them when I had the Thumper, and I've learned a lot and gotten better as a rider, from being a part of this group. I recommend them as a club to anyone, but especially newer riders such as myself.
