Saturday May 3, 2008	Ride Captain Ken S	Wild Turkey Ride Time: 9:30 meet, 9:45 Pre-ride, 10:00 stands up Meet: Burger King, Lakeside, Mapleview at Hwy 67 Ride: UpWildcat Cyn at San Vincente, turn towards Ramona and onto Hanson Ln by Keyes to Old Julian Hwy. At 78 over to 76 and up to Santa Isabel Casino for a bit then back 76 to 78 and over towards Julian exiting at Pine Hills. Pine Hills to Eagle Peak then to Boulder Creek and then the famous Engineers Road to find the Lake and then on the the Japatul Park and ride here to end our trip.

Sunday May 18, 2008 Members Only	Ride Captain Carole H	Two Year Memorial Ride for Kent Saxton Time: 9:30, Pre-ride meeting at 9:15 Meet:The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf 9015-B Mira Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA 92126. Ride: Section 1 - Ride scenic routes to Lake Hodges where we will take a butt break/pit stop at Del Dios. (large parking lot with porta-potty and biker friendly store with bathroom.) Section 2 - Del Dios via GREAT motorcycle sweeps, curves, and twisty roads to Pala Casino for lunch. ($15 per person buffet, or deli with price choices). There is a gas station here where we will fill up. Section 3 -Pala Casino to Lake Henshaw Vista/Mt.Palomar. We will stop here to "visit/say hello to Kent" then continue to Santa Ysabel to end the ride at Dudley's. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen!
Saturday May 24, 2008		Wanderers Meeting held at: The Ranch House Restaurant 11510 Woodside Avenue Santee, CA 92071 Club meetings are held the 4th Saturday of the month at the Ranch House, on Woodside near Hwy 67 and Riverford. Visitors welcome! Meetings are called to order at 10 a.m. Arrive an hour early if you want to have breakfast. There will be an after meeting ride, weather permitting.

Friday-Sunday (Monday) June 6-8 (9), 2008 Members Only*	Ride Captain Gary S	Big Bear Two- or Three-Nighter Time: 9:30 a.m. Meet: Dudley's, Santa Ysabel Ride: This is called a two or three-nighter because several members choose to stay a third night in Big Bear, and return home on Monday instead of Sunday. Be advised, the trip will be the 1st weekend in June this year to take advantage of the 3rd annual Big Bear Choppers sponsored "Ride the Mountain" rally which takes place on 7-8 June 2008. While there are several motorcycle events now taking place in Big Bear, this is the biggest. http://www.bigbearchoppers.com/ride/index.htm Because of all the events taking place that weekend, it's important to secure your lodging soon as it could get filled up early. There are dozens of motels and hotels in the area, and hundreds of rental homes, both large and small. Here's where to get started on your lodging: http://bigbearchamber.com/members_cat.php?cat_num=221 This back-roads trip will start at Dudley's Bakery in Santa Ysabel on Friday at 9:30 a.m., stop for lunch in Idyllwild around noon, and end up in Big Bear between 4:00 & 5:00 p.m. for a two (or three) night stay. Scheduling of the Rim-of-the-World ride to Arrowhead and/or participation in the Chopper event will be posted a little later. Return trip on Sunday (or Monday) retracing our Friday route will have us arriving back home 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Total riding time each way will be 5-6 hours, total travel time each way will be 7-8 hours allowing for lunch, fuel stops and butt breaks. *This ride will be restricted to Wanderers members and known non-members who have ridden with us before. Those unable to stay two nights or wishing to stay additional nights should plan their lodging accordingly.
